Trigger points treatment

Trigger points are hyperirritable knots or bands of tissue within skeletal muscle or fascia. Which often occur in tightly contracted muscles. This causes a reduction of the local blood supply leading to discomfort and pain. Trigger Points can complicate injuries and mimic other problems. As well as pain, trigger points may cause numbness, tingling, weakness, or a lack of a normal range of movement.

What can i expect

Application of sustained pressure directly over the area.

Your therapist can also use dry needles to de-active the trigger points. This technique is called dry needling and has the same effect, but sometimes longer lasting.
